Grammy Award-winning songwriter and musician Shannon Sanders will be holding a free music seminar, "One on One: Where Purpose Meets Passion" for local artists and musicians. A question and answer session will be held, moderated by Vursatyl of the Lifesavas. The event is free, but attendees need to RSVP as seating is limited.

The event will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 5 at SEI, 3920 N. Kerby Ave. RSVP for the event at www.soulinthepearl.com.

Sanders has been credited for creating chart-topping hits for artists such as India.Arie, Jonny Lang, John Legend, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Nicole C. Mullen and Heather Headley. Sanders serves on the Grammy Chapter of the Board of Governors, the Mayor's Music Council in Nashville, Tenn.
