Portland, Oregon's own Get It Squad (at left) won BET's 106 & Park Wild Out Wednesdays show on Jan. 26. Watch a video of the performance here that was recorded from a YouTube user's television screen.

The hip hop duo will be returning to perform on the show in August and are relying on your votes to win the semi-finals. For more information about the Get It Squad visit their website  and their YouTube site .

The next Portland group to appear on 106 and Park will be the F.I.O Dance Crew on March 2. The Skanner News profiled the group here.

Local rapper/singer Mighty will be performing on 106 and Park on June 22.

All of these acts, including Young N Brave who performed on the Dec. 22 show, were selected by 106 and Park Creator and Casting Director Pat Charles during the West Coast Blaze the Stage event in October. Blaze the Stage will be back in Portland for auditions on March 20 at the T&A Event Center, 300 NE Multnomah St.

Promoter Javonnie Shearn, who manages Mighty and brought 106 and Park to Portland, says the show is an excellent way for artists to be seen and build their fan bases.

"The real work begins after that," she says.

Charles will be looking for singers, rappers and dancers to appear on the weekly talent showcase "Wild Out Wednesdays" when the Blaze the Stage event returns. Interested artists must register before the event in order to perform. Visit www.wcblazethestage.com or email Shearn at info@jaidshea.com.

An industry meet and greet will take place on March 19 for registered artists.
