Parkrose's Yung Mil Wins Meeting with Russell Simmons

Parkrose High School's Ezekial Jones, 17, won the national Def Jam Rapstar "Get Schooled Video Contest" on Tuesday, earning him an exclusive meeting with Russell Simmons and Kevin Liles in New York City.

Jones, known by his stage name of Yung Mil, won the contest with his video "Leaders of the New School" which is available for viewing on the Def Jam website.

"I have supportive teachers who have throughout my academic career continually stressed the importance of putting my education first. Me and many of my friends have really cracked down and have started to recognize the importance of graduation and moving forward to the next step of life. Leaders of the new school means that the youth of today has the power to mold the future and set the standard."
