Critically acclaimed novelist and short story writer, Richard Brausch continues the tradition of identifying the best young writers on the cusp of their careers in "Best New American Voices 2008."
Here are stories ranging in styles from the futuristic to the traditional, with settings ranging from Bangladesh to the Pacific Northwest, from Cambodia in the post-Khmer Rouge era to the streets of today's New York City.  Supplementing these stories—culled from hundreds of writing programs such as the Iowa Writers' Workshop and Johns Hopkins and from summer conferences such as Sewanee and Bread Loaf—is a complete list of contact information for these programs.
"Best New American Voices 2008," Harvest Paperback Oct. 8, 2007, $15; ISBN: 978-0-15-603149-3.
