The 2011 Good in the Hood celebration is Saturday, June 26 and Sunday, June 27.
Friday night the Good Neighbor Night Mixer, featuring live music and food, is from 6 to 10 p.m. at King School Park, at the corner of Northeast 6th Avenue and Humboldt Street, south of Alberta.
A community parade kicks off the festival at 11 a.m. on Saturday from Dawson Park. The festival starts at noon at King School Park with live performances by Ocean 503, Patrick Lamb Band, Norman Sylvester Band, the Erotic City Prince Tribute Band, Elite, Judah, Kode Bluuz and more.
In addition to the musical performances, there will be a beer and wine garden, a variety of food from 20 vendors, a marketplace featuring goods from around the world and other booths from community businesses and organizations.
