Preliminary steps are taking place to restore the historically important mural located at Shaver and MLK on the side of the Irvington Covenant Church building. The mural's creator, the prominent mural artist, Isaka Shamsud-Din, has expressed interest in restoring the mural, and Irvington Covenant has expressed interest in the project as well.

The King Neighborhood Association is currently exploring grant funding opportunities for this project in hopes of saving and restoring this piece of King history. To give input or help  contact Maureen mailto:maureen.mimiaga@kingneighborhood.org or go to a King Neighborhood Association meeting.
