14 Years of No Charges for LA Cops 

The LA Daily News reports that no police officer has been prosecuted for an on-duty shooting In Los Angeles County, since 2001. http://bit.ly/1A58eMO

"Trusting police officers is effectively a professional requirement for most prosecutors, and that trust doesn't evaporate when an officer the prosecutor works with shoots a suspect. So it's not surprising that indictments for on-duty incidents are exceedingly rarewithout incontrovertible evidence that contradicts an officer's version of events."

 

 

Coming of Age with Your Girlfriends and Rihanna

Sometimes -- ok usually -- watching movies with subtitles is not worth the pain. Girlhood's the rare exception. The movie will be released on DVD this week. Rihanna gave permission for her music to be used in the movie after writer/director Celine Sciamma made it a crucial part of the story. No Charges in Shooting of Tony Robinson

Footage of a white Madison police officer fatally shooting a 19-year-old unarmed biracial man has been released by the Wisconsin Department of Justice, following the announcement on Tuesday that no criminal charges would be pursued in the shooting death of Tony Robinson.
