In an effort to promote activism against the NYPD’s controversial “Stop and Frisk” policy, rapper Jasiri X has released a new video titled the “#10 Frisk Commandments”.

The song is a remake of the Notorious B.I.G.’s 1997 “Ten Crack Commandments”.

Jasiri X maintains the same rhyme scheme as the original track to list ten things people can do if they are ever in a situation where they get stopped and frisked.

The video, directed by Elon James White, also contains instructions on how to participate in anti-“Stop and Frisk” movements.

Jasiri X has also released other songs on the subject, including "Do We Need to Start a Riot?"

According to a report by the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement, 120 Black people have been killed by the police, security guards and "self-appointed vigilantes" in 2012, which translates into one every 40 hours.
