The Skanner Foundation is committed to the growth and development of America’s youth and aids in helping talented young Americans pursue higher education. Through gifts provided by our corporate sponsors and individuals, The Skanner is able to provide scholarships to deserving college students on an equal opportunity basis regardless of race, sex, creed, or religious preference. Scholarships of $1,000 were presented to local graduating seniors and students working toward academic degrees. The scholarships are presented annually at the foundation's Martin Luther King Breakfast.
