REQUEST FOR SEALED BIDS
Sealed subcontractor bids for bid package(s) 307, 316, 326, 330 will be received by the University of Washington for a construction subcontract to the GC/CM contract between W.G. Clark Construction and the University of Washington for the Student Housing Project, Mercer Hall. Deliver sealed bids to the University of Washington at the University of Washington Purchasing-Accounting Building, 3917 University Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105, Attention: Cindy Magruder, on or before 2/14/2012 at 3:00 PM. Courier or hand deliver packages only. FAXED AND E-MAILED BIDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after the date and time stated above WILL NOT receive consideration. Successful bidders for this work will be subcontracting directly with W.G. Clark Construction using the W.G. Clark Construction subcontract form included in Section 00 00 80.

Addenda will be posted to BXWA. It is the Bidder’s responsibility to check BXWA for addenda. Failure to acknowledge all addenda on the Bid Form may result in W.G. Clark Construction, or the University of Washington if W.G. Clark bids the bid package, determining that the bid is non-responsive and will not be considered further.
MWBE GOALS
The University of Washington and W.G. Clark Construction are committed to the participation in their contracts by MWBE firms certified by the State of Washington’s Office of Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises (OMWBE). Voluntary participation goals for the subcontract to be executed have been established at 10% for MBEs and 6% for WBEs. No minimum level of MWBE participation shall be required as a condition of being responsive or in the award of subcontracts.
