Security Services

Proposals Must Be Received By August 9, 2012 – Time: 2:00 P.M.

Kitsap Transit is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to perform Unarmed Security Guard Services at its base locations north and south of Kitsap County; several buildings and park-and-ride lots throughout Kitsap County. Contractors shall comply with all federal, state, and local regulations and mandated work practices, and shall be capable of performing the work in the contract.

Mailed or hand-delivered, sealed bids will be accepted at Kitsap Transit’s Main Administration Office, 60 Washington St., Ste. 200 (2nd floor Reception Desk), Bremerton, WA 98337-1888, Marked RFP KT #12-444, on or before 2:00 p.m. PST, on August 9, 2012. All bids will be opened and publicly announced in the Kitsap Transit Conference Room at 2:00 p.m. on the date shown above. Faxes will not be accepted.

Kitsap Transit reserves the right to reject any and all proposals without cause and to waive any informalities or irregularities.

Kitsap Transit, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat., 252.42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations Department of Transportation, subtitle A, of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the DOT issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color or national origin in consideration for an award.
