The Portland Office of City Attorney seeks a highly qualified labor attorney with a minimum of five years advising on and litigating labor matters. This attorney will primarily handle labor arbitrations, unfair labor practice cases and provide general labor advice. This attorney will also provide advice on a variety of federal, state and local employment matters, including but not limited to ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, Title VII, and USERRA. This attorney must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as outstanding organizational and analytical skills. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is highly motivated, proactive and able to handle a multitude of challenging situations. Admission to the Oregon State Bar is required.
