2013 STARLIGHT RUN & PARADE: One of Portland’s brightest traditions, the Portland General Electric/Solve Starlight Parade lights of the night for more than 250,000 spectators in Downtown Portland. Get your spots early and cheer on the Starlight runners before the parade. Runners start at 7 p.m. Parade starts at 8:30 p.m.

10TH ANNUAL BUDDHIST FESTIVAL IN THE PARK: Theme for this uears festival is “You Are Here” event includes washing the Baby Buddha ceremony, activities for children, Tabling by Buddhist community, workshops, food carts and much more. COUPEVILLE: MEMORIAL DAY PARADE & CELEBRATION: Honor our Veterans past and present. Parade includes floats, antique cars, music and much more. Parade begins on South Main in Coupeville and proceeds down North Main to historic Front St. 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Whidbey Island.

THE 5TH ANNUAL HOMELESS VETERANS DAY: More than 1,500 men, women, and children are expected to be in attendance at the Bread of Life Missions 5th annual Homeless Veterans Day on Memorial Day. Noon – 4 p.m. Main St. between 1st and Alaskan Way. Free street parking on neighboring streets.
