“We want to combine all three businesses,” Chantelle says. “I’m excited. We’ve put so much into this and I think the outcome will be to see some kids gain hope for their futures.”
Designers, Jeffrey Ta, Andre Miller and Joniell Taylor jumped at the chance to showcase their clothing lines. They’ve opened the All in One Boutique next door to the Parks barber shop. Ta has launched his own line of T-shirts, and customers can also bring in their own designs.

Miller brought his own “Blazergonian” line of T-shirts to the partnership. The shop is organized so that customers, from adults to children, can draw their own designs and walk out wearing T-shirts they designed themselves.
“It all started with an idea of making my own shirts they way I wanted them to look,” Ta says. “My 4-year old twins love coloring their own masterpieces and seeing them come alive on their shirts or pillow cases. It is a great feeling when someone is excited to have created something nobody else will have.”

The third store soon will be occupied by PacFresh Music, a CD store that aims to include an in-store studio.
The Parks and the other store owners said they hope that youth will be attracted to the stores and encouraged to develop business goals as they see what is possible with hard work. That has been a longtime dream for Daniel Parks and part of his origianl motivation for inviting the other businesses to join him.
“We want everyone to feel comfortable,” Chantelle Parks said. “We try to make it as comfortable as possible for all ages: elders and kids.”

A Boost phone store is also slated to move in to the building. Sandy Boulevard is a busy street but there’s plenty of parking in front of the store and all around the block, Chantelle says.
