Oregon Zoo – Polar Bears, Primates, and Rhino – Early Work Package

Lease Crutcher Lewis, LLC, serving as the Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) for the Oregon Zoo is soliciting bids for construction of the Polar Bears, Primates, and Rhino project in Portland, Oregon. Terms and conditions of the bid are outlined in Lease Crutcher Lewis, LLC (CM/GC) “Invitation to Bid”, dated April 9, 2018, attached to and made a part of the Contract Documents.

Bids will be received at the offices of Lease Crutcher Lewis, LLC, (CM/GC), 550 SW 12th Avenue, Portland, Oregon 97205, until 2:00 P.M. PST, May 1st, 2018 at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Proposals shall be clearly marked “Oregon Zoo PPR - EWP”

The total construction cost for Oregon Zoo PPR – Early Work Package is projected to be approximately $4 Million.
This Bid Package includes the following scopes of work only. All remaining scopes of work to be included in future Bid Packages.

  • Structural Demolition, Site, Civil, and Utilities
  • Plumbing and HVAC
  • Electrical

A MANDATORY pre-bid conference for Site Civil / Utilities will be held at the project site, located at 4001 SW Canyon Rd., Portland, Oregon (Oregon Zoo) on Friday, April 13th at 10:00 AM, local time. We will meet outside the Main Zoo Entrance promptly at 10:00 AM, and then proceed as a group to the main jobsite. All bidders planning to attend must RSVP by 12:00 PM on Thursday, April 12th. All proposers must comply with the following requirements: Prevailing Wage Law, ORS 279C.800-279C.870, Licensed with Construction Contractors Board ORS 671.530. Bidder shall
indicate Resident Status per ORS 279A.120. If Required, Bidders must obtain business licenses to perform work in the City of Portland prior to mobilizing on the jobsite.

Bids will not be considered unless RECEIVED by 2:00 P.M. PST on May 1st, 2018, and fully completed in the manner provided by the “Instructions to Bidders”.

Ad Deadline: Print Ads must be ordered and paid for by 1:00 p.m. on Monday in order to make the deadline each week. The Skanner News comes out on Wednesdays. Ads in will run through the following Wednesday.

Print Image Quality Specs: For print ads requiring an image, please submit the image in as high-res as you can to Jerry Forster at Advertising@TheSkanner.com. We recommend at least 300dpi for best results in the printed newspaper.


Online Image Quality Specs: For web-based ads, we recommend at least 72dpi for best viewing. Images and logos will be sized according to editorial discretion, based on the image orientation (width, height, etc.).

Online Ads will run seven days from first posting (although, 2, 3 and 4 week durations are available).

Image Format: For web, we recommend JPG format, although GIF or PNG may also be acceptable.

Payment Options: The Skanner News accepts PayPal for ads placed online. To pay for ads via other means (checks, credit cards, etc.), please contact accounting@theskanner.com.
