METRO Solid Waste and Recycling Collection Services for MetroPaint ITB 3467 Metro, a metropolitan service district organized under the laws of the State of Oregon and the Metro Charter, located at 600 NE Grand Avenue, Portland, OR 97232-2736, is hereby inviting sealed bids for Solid Waste and Recycling Collection Services for MetroPaint. Sealed bids are due no later than 2:00 p.m., February 27, 2018 in Metro’s business offices at 600 NE Grand Avenue, Portland, OR 97232-2736, Attention: Julie Hoffman, Procurement Analyst, ITB 3467. Bids will be opened publicly at that time. MetroPaint operates a high-volume water-based (Latex) paint recycling operation in the Swan Island Industrial Park in North Portland. The operation produces thousands of discarded wet paint containers every day and the 40 yard drop box can fill rapidly. The contract contemplated consists of scheduled 6:45 am daily waste pickups of a custom made 40 yard drop box 5 days per week and return of the box no later than 8:00 am. The Contractor shall also provide large (approximately 4.5 yard) rolling bin for co-mingled recyclables and a 30 gallon rolling bin for recyclable glass.
