Purchase of Factory Remanufactured Engines
Cummins Diesel

Kitsap Transit, the public transportation provider in Kitsap County is requesting bids for the purchase of factory remanufactured engines (Cummins Diesel).

Kitsap Transit reserves the right to reject any and all bids without cause and to waive any informalities or irregularities.

Copies of the Invitation for Bids may be obtained by contacting Kitsap Transit at 360-478-6220, or at 60 Washington Ave., Suite 200, Bremerton, WA 98337, by email from ktpurchasing@kitsaptransit.com.

Mailed or hand-delivered sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. PST on November 2, 2016 at Kitsap Transit’s main administration office, 60 Washington Ave., Suite 200, Bremerton, WA 98337.

Kitsap Transit in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat., 252.42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations Department of Transportation, subtitle A, of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the DOT issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color or national origin in consideration for an award.

Ad Deadline: Print Ads must be ordered and paid for by 1:00 p.m. on Monday in order to make the deadline each week. The Skanner News comes out on Wednesdays. Ads in will run through the following Wednesday.

Print Image Quality Specs: For print ads requiring an image, please submit the image in as high-res as you can to Jerry Forster at Advertising@TheSkanner.com. We recommend at least 300dpi for best results in the printed newspaper.


Online Image Quality Specs: For web-based ads, we recommend at least 72dpi for best viewing. Images and logos will be sized according to editorial discretion, based on the image orientation (width, height, etc.).

Online Ads will run seven days from first posting (although, 2, 3 and 4 week durations are available).

Image Format: For web, we recommend JPG format, although GIF or PNG may also be acceptable.

Payment Options: The Skanner News accepts PayPal for ads placed online. To pay for ads via other means (checks, credit cards, etc.), please contact accounting@theskanner.com.

Ad Costs: To calculate the cost of your ad, please visit and fill out our online classified advertising form. There you can calculate your ad cost, and will be presented with a PayPal link to make Payment once you're satisfied.
